Install the AgentSky Mac app

The native Mac app gives you a menubar agent and local Claude Code setup.

Updated October 21, 2026

The AgentSky Mac app runs as a menubar icon, gives you quick-ask shortcuts, and sets up Claude Code and Codex on your own machine with one click.

Download

Go to agentsky.dev/download and click Download for Mac. Open the downloaded .dmg, drag AgentSky to Applications, and launch it.

The app requires macOS 13 Ventura or later.

On first launch you will see a sign-in prompt. Use the same account you use on agentsky.dev. Your workspace, agents, and sessions appear in the sidebar immediately.

Set up local agents

The Mac app can configure Claude Code and Codex on your machine:

  1. Open AgentSky and click your name at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Choose Set up local agents.
  3. The wizard scans for installed agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) and uploads your API key and the AgentSky skill so they can hire helpers and use your workspace.

After setup, opening Claude Code or Codex in a terminal gives the agent access to the same AgentSky features as a cloud session.

Permissions

The Mac app asks for microphone access (for voice dictation) and screen recording (for screen-sharing to agents). Both are optional — you can use the app without them.

To grant or revoke permissions later: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone / Screen Recording.

Quick Ask

Press Option+Space (default) to open a floating input field and send a message to your most recent chat without switching apps. You can change the shortcut under Settings → Keyboard.

Menubar

The AgentSky icon in the menubar shows a dot when any session needs your attention. Click it to see a compact summary of active sessions.

FAQ

Q: Does the Mac app require the cloud service?

A: Yes. The Mac app is a native shell for the cloud service. It signs in to your agentsky.dev account and needs an internet connection.

Q: Can I use the Mac app alongside the web?

A: Yes. They share the same account; a session started in one appears in both. Messages you send in the Mac app and messages you send on the web go to the same sandbox.
