When you start a chat in the Mac app, it can run the agent locally on your machine. Local runs are free and use your Mac's resources. Chats sync to your workspace automatically so you and your teammates can continue them on the web.
- Open AgentSky on your Mac.
- Start a new chat. Local agents (Claude Code, Codex) run on your machine.
- The chat appears in your workspace on the web too.
Where: Mac app > New chat.
Good to know: if your workspace balance is empty, the app falls back to local runs and shows a prompt to add credits for cloud runs. Sync can be turned off per workspace in Settings › This Mac. Related: Sync local Mac chats to your workspace, Download and install AgentSky for Mac.
