Search chats and messages

Updated October 21, 2026

Press ⌘K to open the command palette and search chats, messages, artifacts, and memory.

The command palette finds chats by name and by content. Switch to "Everything" mode to also search the trace library, artifacts, and workspace memory — all in one place.

  1. Press ⌘K (Mac and web).
  2. Type a phrase. Results appear as you type.
  3. Use arrow keys to navigate, Enter to open.
  4. To search everything (trace library, artifacts, memory), click the "Everything" toggle in the palette.

Where: Web: ⌘K anywhere on the page. Mac: ⌘K anywhere in the app.

Good to know: search is scoped to the workspace you are currently in. Folded reasoning steps in a chat are not matched — only the visible text in the transcript. Related: Archive a chat, Use the trace library, What is the Library?.
