Create notes in workspace memory

Updated October 21, 2026

Add notes to workspace memory so agents carry that context into every chat.

Workspace memory stores live notes that agents read. You can also set how each chat attaches to memory — no attachment, read-only, or read-write. A read-write chat lets the agent update the notes as it works.

  1. Open Library › Memory.
  2. Click the Workspace tab.
  3. Add or edit notes directly. Notes are saved as you type.
  4. To change a chat's memory access: open the chat's settings and choose the attachment level.

Where: Library › Memory (web and Mac). API: Memory Store endpoints under /api/v1/memory.

Good to know: you can version notes and restore a previous version. Shared memory is visible to all workspace members. Related: What is workspace memory?.
