Open the chat menu (···) and choose Fork to continue the conversation with a different agent or model.
Forking creates a new chat pre-filled with the current conversation's text. You can change the agent, model, and thinking level before continuing. The original chat is unchanged.
- Open the chat menu by clicking ··· on a chat in the rail, or right-clicking a message.
- Choose Fork.
- Pick the agent, model, and thinking level for the new chat.
- Click Continue (or send a new message).

Good to know: the fork copies visible text only — not uploaded files, agent history, or tool results. Switching agent in an open chat also offers a fork. Related: Choose an agent and model, Compare agents on the same task.
