What are browser logins?

Updated October 22, 2026

Browser logins save the sign-in state from websites your agent visited, so the agent can return to those sites already logged in — no re-authentication needed.

When an agent visits a site and signs in, that session is saved automatically. The next time you start a chat and send the agent to the same site, it picks up the saved login.

Logins are stored at two levels: workspace (shared with your teammates) or private (saved for you). Team tasks use workspace logins; personal logins stay saved separately.

In a team chat, the Browser tab offers:

  • Workspace — the logins your whole team shares.
  • Fresh — no logins at all; the agent starts with a clean browser.

An older owner-only private chat may also show Private. New team chats cannot use your personal logins.

Where to manage logins: Settings › Agents and apps › Browser logins (web and Mac). You can move a saved login between Workspace and Private, or remove it.

Good to know: browser logins are on for all workspaces — sites signed in through a Workspace browser are saved automatically. Fresh browsers do not load or save logins. This applies to Hermes, Claude Code, and Codex; other agents do not save browser logins. See Workspace vs private browser profiles for the full profile rules.
