Import chats and setup from a local agent

Move your local Claude Code or Codex setup — skills, connected apps, vault secrets, and chat history — to AgentSky in the cloud.

You can bring your full local agent environment to AgentSky without starting over. The import carries your skills, git state, tool-server (MCP) setup, your working folder, and existing chats.

From your local agent:

  1. Paste into it: "Move this agent to AgentSky. Fetch https://agentsky.dev/clone.md and follow it."
  2. The agent fetches the instructions and walks you through sign-in and upload.

From the web or Mac app:

  1. Web: Settings › Advanced › Import, then Import sessions or Set up local agents. Mac: Settings › This Mac › Import sessions.
  2. Follow the on-screen prompt.

From the terminal: run sky import --current to import the session you are in.

Where: Web: Settings › Advanced › Import. Mac: Settings › This Mac › Import sessions. CLI: sky import.

Good to know: imported chats appear in your workspace at no cost, and you can continue them in the cloud. Related: Import chat history with the sky CLI, Use the trace library.
