OpenCode + Discord
Discord is the conversation entry point; OpenCode is the agent that runs the work. Test OpenCode with GPT-5.6 Sol below, then connect Discord and choose this agent in channel settings.
How the combination works
OpenCode does the work. Discord carries the conversation.
OpenCode runs the coding-agent loop in the cloud: it explores the repository, edits files, calls tools, and executes validation with the selected compatible model.
Authorize the app in the intended Discord server, then use its connected channel to reach the agent selected in AgentSky.
OpenCode
Owns the work loop, model calls, files, cloud computer, enabled tools, and the result returned to the conversation.
Discord
Lets people reach the selected AgentSky agent from Discord. It does not grant access to repositories or other applications mentioned in a message.
AgentSky
Owns the selected responder, channel binding, task state, model and runtime usage, and the separate permissions for tools and connectors.
Setup and first task
Connect OpenCode to the Discord conversation you intend to use.
The Composer tests the exact agent in the browser. Channel setup remains a separate account or workspace authorization, so neither step can silently stand in for the other.
Test OpenCode in the Composer
The Composer above selects OpenCode and its current recommended model, GPT-5.6 Sol. Use a small task with an answer you can inspect before connecting a shared channel.
Connect Discord and choose OpenCode
Open the selected agent’s channel controls in the developer console. Follow Discord authorization. Choose the correct server and review the requested permissions with its administrator.
Verify the real channel path
Ask for a release checklist from requirements you paste into the connected channel. Check that the agent responds in the intended server. Check that the reply arrives in the intended Discord conversation and that the dashboard still names OpenCode as the responder.
Access, cost and limits
What OpenCode + Discord establishes
Model-flexible coding work where teams want OpenCode's workflow with a wider choice of compatible model providers.
Configure and verify
- OpenCode and GPT-5.6 Sol are preselected for the browser evaluation.
- Discord is connected or paired to the intended account, workspace, server, device or conversation.
- The first real message reaches the selected agent and returns a useful reply through the same channel.
Do not assume
- A browser task does not automatically bind Discord; finish the channel setup separately.
- Discord membership does not authorize repositories, email, documents or other application data.
- Model tokens and active computer time are billed separately from any channel or provider plan.
