**Workspace-level hooks and policies run automatically on every agent in the workspace — useful for logging, spend caps, or tool approval rules.**

Examples: log every tool call to your own system, require approval before any agent spends over a threshold, or block a specific tool across all agents.

These rules are set via the API at the workspace level. The Settings page has a dedicated URL for policy management, though it is not listed in the main nav.

Where: API — `POST /api/v1/universes/{id}/hooks` and policy rules. Web › Settings policy URL (accessible directly even if not linked from the nav).

Good to know: workspace rules apply to all new chats unless an individual agent has an overriding rule. Per-agent hooks (set on the agent page) take precedence over workspace hooks when both exist. Related: [What are hooks?](https://agentsky.dev/help/hooks-overview).
