**The trace library stores your local agent sessions so you can search and reuse them in the cloud.**

When you run an agent locally — Claude Code or Codex on your machine — the trace library lets you upload those sessions to your workspace. You can then search them alongside cloud chats and artifacts.

1. Run `sky trace sync` in the terminal to upload local sessions.
2. In the web or Mac app, press ⌘K and choose Everything mode.
3. Search for anything across chats, traces, artifacts, and memory.

Where: ⌘K > Everything (web and Mac). CLI: `sky trace sync`.

Good to know: traces are scoped to the workspace you are in when you sync. Uploaded traces appear as read-only sessions at no cost. Related: [Import chats and setup from a local agent](https://agentsky.dev/help/import-from-local-agent).
