# Share a chat with someone

**Share any chat as a link — recipients can read and fork it without an account.**

Sharing gives you a link with a permission level you choose. Anyone with the link can view the chat. You can change the level or revoke the link at any time.

1. Open the chat.
2. Click Share in the chat header.
3. Choose a level: Private (only you), Can view (anyone with the link can read and fork), or Can continue (workspace members can also send messages).
4. Copy the link and share it.

Where: Web and Mac — Share button in the chat header.

API: `GET /api/v1/sessions/{id}` returns the `shareUrl` when sharing is enabled.
