Updated November 3, 2026

"What this conversation started with" shows what the agent was given and the workspace files it loaded when it last started.

It sits in the chat's Shared files, and its row sums up what is inside, such as "2 workspace files · 1 not found".

  1. Open the chat and go to Shared files.
  2. Click What this conversation started with to expand it.
  3. Under Workspace context, each file is listed with its path and state:
    • Loaded · N bytes: the file was loaded.
    • Truncated · N bytes total: only part was loaded. The size is the whole file's.
    • Not found at startup: the file was looked for but wasn't there.

Below that are the files, skills, saved secrets and memory the chat started with. Those that came from your workspace are marked "From your workspace".

Where: web and Mac, in the chat's Shared files.

Good to know: this is a record of the agent's last start, not the current files. If you edit a file later, the list doesn't change until the agent starts again. It shows names and sizes, never file contents or secret values. A chat that started with nothing recorded doesn't show the row.
