# Use Plan mode

**Enable Plan mode to get a reviewable plan before the agent does any work.**

In Plan mode the agent reads your task, writes a step-by-step plan, and stops. You review the plan and send any message — for example "Build" or feedback — to continue. This is useful for complex tasks where you want to confirm direction before the agent acts.

1. In the composer, click the "+" menu and choose Plan mode. A "Plan" chip appears in the composer.
2. Type your task and send.
3. The agent returns a plan.
4. Review it and reply (for example, "Looks good, go ahead" or "Change step 2 to...").
