**Every chat you start on Mac syncs to your workspace automatically — teammates can see it and you can continue it on the web.**

Synced chats appear in your workspace at $0 and are marked as having run on your Mac. There is nothing to set up: sync is on by default.

1. Start a chat in the Mac app. It appears in your workspace on the web.
2. To continue it on the web, open it and send a message. The chat carries on in the cloud, even if your Mac is offline.
3. To stop syncing one chat, open its menu and choose Stop Syncing This Chat.
4. To stop syncing everything to a workspace, turn off the switch in Settings › This Mac › Sync.

Where: Mac app — Settings › This Mac › Sync.

Good to know: synced chats count as $0 in your usage. Each workspace has its own sync switch. To bring in a terminal session that ran outside the app, use Settings › This Mac › Import sessions.
