**An `agentsky://` link opens the Mac app on a new draft or an existing chat, in its own window.**

- `agentsky://new?prompt=Hello%20AgentSky` opens a new chat with "Hello AgentSky" in the composer.
- `agentsky://chats/<chat-id>` opens an existing chat.
- `agentsky://sessions/<session-id>` opens the chat for a session id, such as one from the API.

**Make an "Ask AgentSky" shortcut:**

1. In the macOS Shortcuts app, create a shortcut named "Ask AgentSky".
2. Add Ask for Input, then URL Encode.
3. Add Open URLs with `agentsky://new?prompt=` followed by the encoded input.
4. Run the shortcut from Spotlight, or give it a keyboard shortcut.

Where: macOS Shortcuts, Spotlight, or any app that opens links.

Good to know: a link never sends a message for you. The text waits in the composer until you send it. Related: [Keyboard shortcuts in the Mac app](https://agentsky.dev/help/mac-keyboard-shortcuts), [Chat windows and the Dock in the Mac app](https://agentsky.dev/help/mac-windows-and-dock).
