# Let an agent use Mail, Notes, Calendar, Reminders and Contacts on your Mac

> A cloud agent can read your Mac's Mail, Notes, Calendar, Reminders and Contacts once you allow each app, and asks before each draft, note, event or reminder it creates. Mail never sends.

**A cloud agent can use your Mac's Mail, Notes, Calendar, Reminders and Contacts, but only after you allow each app, and it asks again before it creates anything.**

Each app has its own consent. Allowing Calendar does not allow Mail.

What an agent can do once you allow an app:

- **Mail:** list, search and read messages in your inbox, and save a draft. Mail never sends.
- **Notes:** list, search and read notes, and create a note.
- **Calendar:** list and search events in a window of up to 31 days, read an event, and create one.
- **Reminders:** list, search and read incomplete reminders, and create one.
- **Contacts:** list, search and read contacts. Agents cannot create or change them.

1. The first time an agent wants one of these apps, AgentSky asks you. macOS may ask too.
2. Before the agent creates a draft, note, event or reminder, AgentSky shows you the full content and asks. Each one is asked about separately, unless you approved that tool under Unattended actions in Settings › This Mac.
3. To take access back, open Settings › This Mac › App data and folders and choose Remove access, which asks again next time, or Block, which refuses until you choose Unblock.

Where: Mac app › Settings › This Mac › App data and folders.

Good to know: the first time you let a cloud agent use this Mac's apps and files, the app also asks for Touch ID or your password ([Touch ID for sensitive actions on your Mac](https://agentsky.dev/help/mac-device-authentication)). The same page can block folders, which hides them from an agent's folder tools. If you take an app's access back while the agent is using it, the agent can't continue with that app. Related: [Mac app permissions](https://agentsky.dev/help/mac-permissions), [Give an agent access to a folder on your Mac](https://agentsky.dev/help/this-mac-live-folder), [Allow an agent to control a specific app](https://agentsky.dev/help/per-app-computer-use).
