Connect GitHub to a chat

Updated October 21, 2026

Click "Add folder" in the composer, then Connect GitHub to attach a repository.

Connecting a repository lets the agent read your code, create branches, open pull requests, and apply patches. The last repo you used is remembered for future chats.

  1. In the composer, click the folder chip labelled "Add folder".
  2. Click Connect GitHub and authorise AgentSky in the GitHub OAuth flow.
  3. Choose the repository and branch you want to use.
  4. Send your task.

Where: Web: composer "Add folder" chip. Mac: composer "Add folder" chip.

Good to know: you can also connect GitHub from the Connectors page. Connecting GitHub for the first time earns $4 of account credit. You do not need a repository selected to use an agent — the agent can clone a repo on its own if you give it the URL. Related: Earn free credit by connecting apps, What are connectors?.
