**Automations let you schedule an agent task to run on a recurring basis — daily reports, weekly summaries, regular checks — without any manual trigger.**

Each automation has a task prompt and a schedule. At the scheduled time, the agent starts a new chat, runs the task, and the result appears in your workspace.

Where: Web and Mac › Settings › Advanced › Automations. Automations are also manageable via the sky CLI and the `/api/v1` API.

Automations are separate from goals, which are one-time scheduled actions set inside a chat. For one-time scheduling, see [Schedule a one-time task](https://agentsky.dev/help/schedule-a-task). For recurring work, create an automation. Good to know: each automation run counts as a regular chat — compute and model costs apply.
